The DESTU is a sealed termination unit with direct input for use with most self-regulating and constant wattage heating cables.

Destu finishing unit

The unit is made of reinforced fiberglass and is specially designed to reduce the risk of damaging heating cables at connection points.

This eliminates the need to expose the heating cable when it comes out of thermal insulation for connection to the junction box.

Applications

The DESTU can be used for power termination,
in-line splice and tee splice terminations.

If the RTD version of the unit is ordered, it is also suitable for temperature measurement at various points along the length of heated pipes.

The DESTU is approved for use in non-hazardous and hazardous locations.
