The 11SRF Heat Cable consists of a heating cable and a 1.5 meter long rubber connecting cable with a plug. It is connected to a 230V power point. Heat cables such as the 11SRF are mainly used for internal and surface heating of tanks and pipes such as sewage pipes, water pipes, water meters and water taps.
Technical adviceThe heating cable is designed to automatically reduce heat as needed. There is no risk of the heating cable overheating.
The 11SRF Heat Cable is suitable for installation in water pipes and has a safety rating of IP67.
We supply two types of heating cable.
This type of heating ribbon has a semi conducting self-limiting core that gives varying resistance depending on the temperature.
This prevents the heating ribbon from overheating even if it crosses itself. Because of the parallel connection, the heating ribbon can be cut at any point should the need arise.
This type of self-limiting cable has a semi conducting self-limiting core that gives varying resistance depending on the temperature.
This type of heating ribbon goes up to 65°C maximum and a power up to 11W/m. This heating cable contains a clixon incorporated into the cable. In short the cable is activated at +5°C and turned off at +12°C without external control.
Note: when placing the heating cable in or under water, the clixon does not work (optimally) and an external control may still be required.
The cables are available in standard versions with optional associated control technology. Plug and play is standard with this cable.
Electric heat cables are used in various applications of frost protection, such as:
