At Heating Group International, process heating consists of various solutions for heating water, oil, other liquids, or air. These heating solutions are made from robust materials and are typically produced with powerful temperature control systems. This ensures you always have a suitable heating solution for your application. Temperature control is often tailored and manufactured specifically for your application.
These forms of process heating are frequently used in applications where the medium (water, oil, or other thermally conductive liquids) is located in a tank or a circulation system. In circulation systems, a circulation heater is often used. In tank applications, a flange heater is more commonly applied.
In industrial processes, a medium is heated to separate certain substances, provide hot water, or prevent products from accumulating, solidifying, or freezing.
The different media these heaters are suitable for can vary widely. They are commonly used for heating:
A flange heater consists of sealed tubular elements mounted in a flange. These are custom-made per application and request. The length of the flange can vary significantly depending on the required power.
It is essential that a flange heater can always dissipate its heat properly, especially the elements placed in the medium.
Depending on the application, an unheated length can be included, also known as a cold zone. This varies per application or can be recommended by our engineers. A terminal box is mounted on the flange, where the electrical connection is made. A thermostat can also be installed here to ensure safe operation of the flange heater.
A circulation heater can be derived from a flange heater. These are often installed in circulation systems. The heater is mounted inside a flow housing, which is then placed in a circulation pipe. The medium is pumped through the housing, flowing along the heater. During the time the medium is inside the housing, it is heated to the desired temperature.
Both heating solutions are calculated, designed, and produced by Heating Group International. After production, the heaters are also tested before delivery.
Heating a medium is crucial in process heating, but controlling these heaters to maintain a specific temperature is just as important. Heating Group International also manufactures its own control systems, which can be operated remotely.
It is also possible to connect multiple heating solutions to a single external control system. This ensures you always maintain full control over the flange or circulation heaters.
