Technical adviceThe Heating Group® explosion-proof finned-tube air heaters (sometimes also called flameproof air warmers) have a similar construction to our standard (non-Ex) finned-tube air heaters type CB; a tube with rolled-in ribs.
Different is the interior: in the Heating Group® CB-series, we use tubular elements. In the tube of the ex-finned tube air heaters, a ceramic element is mounted in order to secure optimal heat distribution.
The ex-finned-tube air heaters of Heating Group consist of an Ex-connection box and are suitable for application in temperature class T3. The explosion-proof finned-tube air heaters get their robust look thanks to the offshore coating, which comes on as a standard.
Heating Group supplied explosion-proof finned-tube air heaters are used as space heating in areas where gas or other lightly inflammable materials can occur.
Traditionally this type of product is being used on oil drilling platforms, crane cabs, (petro)chemical industries, storage areas with inflammable products, aircraft hangers, storage containers for f.e. paint or solvents, and so on.
This product can be equipped with an external ATEX thermostat, which Heating Group can also supply.
