Flange heaters are heating units mounted by means of a bolted flange to a process installation. A heater like that is called a flanged immersion heater or a short flange heater. The elements of the heater are in direct contact with the medium, which can be water, liquid, oil, gasses (e.g. nitrogen, air, damp). This heating is therefore called direct heating.

Technical adviceDepending on their use, flange heaters are made of steel, stainless steel or other standard available metals. The connection box can be adapted fully to the demands of the user in terms of dimensioning and colour. Heating Group will offer you any RAL colour for the connection box at only a very small additional cost.
Depending on the medium we can supply these heaters in power outputs up to 5MW, supply up to 3x690V, flanges up to DN500 (20”), and pressures up to 600 bars. Flange heaters can be used in the entire general industry.
Not surprisingly the flange heaters can be supplied under the PED and ASME norms, but also EN13445 and can of course be supplied including an inspection by a third party notified body.
Heating Group International is very strong also in Explosionproof process heating. The above-described flange heaters are also available with ATEX certification.
