Technical adviceCeramic cartridge heaters consist of a moisture-proof metal tube, with a ceramic element in it. The tube is in contact with the medium. Thus, the element heats indirectly. The elements can be equipped with a screw plug or a flanged connection.
Tank heating is a typical area where the heating elements that are used, like ceramic cartridge heaters, must be easy to replace. Often one does not want or cannot have the tank drained.
