Heat tracing can be used in various applications. The most common ones are floor heating, ramp heating and the frost protection of pipelines. Heat tracing is applied within floors, pavements and in parking lots, apartment buildings and in logistic areas.
A heating cable is a type of heating element. The heating element has a certain resistance. If there is current running, this is turned into heat because of the resistance. The resistance determines about the heat release and thus the power.
